This exhibit celebrates the legacy of American rap artist Christopher “Notorious
B.I.G.” Wallace (1972 – 1997).
The work
of Jamel Shabazz, Frank Morrison, Dan Ericson, Charly Palmer and Justin Bua will be displayed side-by-side
with the lyrics of Wallace to draw attention to the relationship between
Hip-hop and present-day visual art.
Dawud
Knuckles will sign copies of his book “The Art Album: Exploring the Connection Between Hip-hop Music and Visual Art” during the exhibition.
