Darlene Clark Hine will present the lecture, The Black Chicago Renaissance: WPA and Black Creative Artists. Dr. Hine is a historian, prolific writer and editor, scholar, lecturer, and an educator who is equally revered in the academy and the community. She holds professorships in both African American Studies and History at Northwestern University. Dr. Hine has written and co-edited numerous books with a particular focus on Black women.
