Al Johnson gives an exhibition tour and discusses the work in COSMOSIS: The Visionary Art of Al Johnson curated by Micha Hamilton

From sopacnow.org:

COSMOSIS features the richly layered and boldly colored paintings of internationally celebrated artist Al Johnson. Influenced by artists like Joseph Cornell, Paul Klee, Gustav Klimt, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Kurt Schwitters and Romare Bearden, Johnson's creative universe seamlessly blends the styles and techniques of classical and contemporary art into a powerful and ecstatic vision of spiritually-charged works. Filtered through the prism of his remarkable individuality, the viewer is invited to think new thoughts about what art can be.

Curator Micha Hamilton is a published photographer, filmmaker, writer and graphic designer. He studied film and television broadcasting at the Arts Center College of Design, Pasadena and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) respectively, and earned his Associate Arts Degree in Computer Graphics and Graphic Design from Platt College, Los Angeles. Micha is Owner and Art Director of MHP+D/Micha Hamilton Photography + Design, a boutique creative company providing clients with stunning visual imagery for commercial, non-commercial and private needs. In January 2010, he co-founded the visual arts exhibition and production space GAS Gallery And Studio in Maplewood, NJ.
